We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage

various projects throughout Argyll and the Islands.

The role will involve both pre and post contract work,

dealing with pricing enquiries, tender submission,

financial management and final accounts. Good

communication, numerical and IT skills are essential.

Provident have been serving customers across the UK for over 130

years, with Home Lending being at the core of our business.

We provide credit to customers who may not get it elsewhere and

give each customer a dedicated Customer Experience Manager,

who will visit them, taking payments and ensuring they are able to

keep making regular payments.

We are looking for a Dunoon based Customer Experience Manager,

to build relationships with our customers on the peninsula and

ensure payments are up.

You will be a friendly, approachable and flexible self-starter, with a

passion for providing a great customer experience.

Past experience in financial services or a similar role is not essential

– we are open to seeing applications from all backgrounds, provided

you have your own vehicle and a smane to use for the role and are

based in Dunoon.

Customer Activity

Collect customers payments each week on the day/time they have

asked for, calling back to those who have not answered

Make customers aware of the consequences of not making a

payment or making a part payment

Complete the required standard administrative procedures, such

as accurately recording customer information.

Account for all monies received in and out daily

Conduct and complete loan applications for new and existing

customers and contact new customer leads and convert with 48


Territory Growth

Responsible for growing your territory in line with company


Make customers aware of the products available to them

Regularly inform new and existing customers of our ‘Recommend

a Friend Scheme’

Customer Relationships

Ensure every customer is visited on the territory and have received

call backs

Responsible for referring financial difficulty/vulnerability customer

triggers to a line manager

Identify risk or potential fraud and inform your line manager

Personal Career, Performance and Development activities

Attend weekly / monthly meetings when requested this

Attend regular 1:1s, performance reviews, training and coaching


To assist you, you will be provided with the latest technology to

undertake the role to the best of your ability and set you up for

success. We also offer a full training program of five days, which

may require you to stay away from home.

Essential requirements:

Customer service experience, flexible working to meet customer

demand, ability to work remotely on a mobile basis

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, time management and

organisational skills

• Technical ability on an iOS (Apple) device, full UK driving licence

and access to your own car
